๐Ÿฆ  Hand Sanitisers in School

Mr J Sharp

I wanted to quickly explain to you all about our new hand sanitising stations in school. We now have โ€˜hands freeโ€™ automatic hand sanitisers in every classroom, the front entrance, two at the junior doors, the hall, the staff room and outside the Hub. We have signed a contract with PHS who have supplied the stations and will service them every six weeks.

As we now have these stations in school, the children do not need to bring their own in to school, indeed it is extremely important that they do not (unless there are medical circumstances explained to us by parents and a form completed).

I know that families are sending their children into school with hand sanitiser to protect their health but we could actually be making the children less healthy if we have lots of different types in school. There is the risk of sharing them, losing them, touching of the bottles by others, anxiety by some children that they donโ€™t have them etc. But the main and serious reason is that we must know what is in them and how to care for children if an accident should occur.

Different Hand Sanitisers

All substances in school are subject to COSHH (Control of Substances Hazardous to Health) regulations. We must know which chemicals are in them, how someone should be treated if they swallow them, get them on their skin, get them in their eyes etc. Many hand sanitisers contain alcohol and if you look on the back on many of them you will see the following hazard signs.

These show that there is danger to health if misused and also that some are actually flammable. In addition to this, we would need Safety Data Sheets for all the different types that are in school which could result in a delay in treating children if necessary.

Our Hand Sanitising Solution

This information is supplied by PHS.

NO-GERMS alcohol free sanitiser effectively kills 99.9% of all germs. After just one application, it will continue to work to kill viruses and bacteria for 2-4 hours, without the need for re-application.

NO-GERMS has been tested and proved to be effective in killing MRSA, Bird Flu, Swine Flu, Norovirus and SARS. SARS is the closest relative to Covid-19, no commercial testing is currently available on Covid-19.

Substantially fewer applications of NO-GERMS are required throughout the day when compared to alcohol based sanitisers that require re-application every time you touch a new surface. This will save valuable maintenance and refilling time for your business, while reducing the risk of Covid-19 spreading.

NO-GERMS sanitiser is infused with natural moisturisers, including Aloe Vera, Lavender, and Chamomile, leaving hands both clean and refreshed. This also ensures hands do not dry out after frequent use.

phs Group are the largest distributors NO-GERMS sanitisers in the UK. The product is trusted by business across the world and is also used by NHS hospitals.

If there is a medical need to use a specific hand sanitiser then please contact us in school and we can send you a form to complete.
